Auction Cataloging Position
Job Description:
The Auction Cataloger plays a pivotal role in accurately documenting and photographing Auction items to create comprehensive and visually appealing product catalogs. Since our Auctions are primarily online, the quality of your work will directly impact sales, revenue, and the company’s reputation. As a key coordinator of pre- and post-Auction logistics, you will handle a wide range of tasks from organizing inventory to collaborating with consigners. This hands-on position requires a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities:
- Assist in selecting items and organizing lots for Auctions.
- Retrieve inventory for upcoming Auctions and work with consigners to include consigned lots.
- Photograph items, create detailed descriptions, and upload data into the Auction software.
- Create and print Auction catalogs, ensuring accurate listings.
- Communicate issues, problems, or opportunities to the team.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and organizational culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic, creative, and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Previous experience in inventory management, photography, or logistics is a plus.
- Willingness to learn how to operate a forklift and perform physical labor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and openness to learning new technology.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Day-to-Day:
- Start the day with a team meeting at 8 AM to discuss priorities.
- Split work between inventory selection, photographing items, and data entry (50% warehouse, 50% desk work).
- Collaborate with team members on daily tasks, including customer interactions as needed.
- Check in with a supervisor after lunch to review progress and adjust priorities.
- Assist with customer appointments and Auction setup as required.
- Flexibility to stay late when necessary to complete time-sensitive tasks.

Schedule:
- 8:00AM-4:30PM, Monday to Friday.
